Bismarck anglers win North Dakota State High School Championship
COLEHARBOR – The fog was heavy, severely limiting visibility and delaying the start of the North Dakota High School Bass Championship last Saturday on Lake Audubon. However, after a one hour delay, conditions improved enough for boats to safely venture onto the lake and the tournament got underway.
The big prize at stake, in addition to claiming a state championship, was a berth in The Bass Federation 12th annual High School Fishing World Finals and National Championship held next year at Lake Hartwell in South Carolina. The field consisted of eight two-person teams of young anglers representing seven high schools in the state – Bismarck Century, Mandan, Central Cass, Washburn, Bismarck Central, Jamestown, and Velva.
Emerging from the fog, which grudgingly gave way to sunshine as noon approached, with a narrow edge at the scale was the duo of Brandon and Logan Bullinger of Bismarck Century. They won their second straight title by a mere tenth of a pound….Full Story
