Price inks with Bryan College
Rhea County High School celebrated the signing of another athlete who will make the short trip to Bryan as they further their education and athletic careers on the hill in Dayton.
Golden Eagle Angler Tyler Price made his college plans official Monday as he inked with Bryan College during a signing ceremony at Rhea County High School. The senior will wrap up his sixth year on the squad this season after joining the team as a seventh grader.
“Starting my junior year, I was looking at a few different schools but Bryan College was just the perfect fit and I knew early on that was where I wanted to be,” Price said.
Bryan College Fishing Head Coach Mike Keen attended the ceremony and said he is every exited to have Price join what has become one of the better programs in the entire nation—going toe-to-toe with the likes of South Carolina, Alabama, Clemson and other major colleges and universities.
“(Price) is exactly the type of student-athlete we want to have at Bryan. Not only is he a great angler but he succeeds in the classroom as well. We’re a Christian college and we look for prospects who can thrive in that arena and he fits that mold,” Keen said. “He’s going to be a great fit for us and will do very well both academically and with our fishing program,” he added.
