CORSICANA — The Cayuga High School fishing team earned four of the top-25 placements at the second Texas High School Bass Association Central Division meet of the season.
Kolton Foerster and teammate Emily Banta finished as Cayuga’s top team, taking 15th place with 11.2 pounds of fish. Foerster and Banta caught four bass in all at Richland-Chambers Reservoir.

“I am so proud of all the anglers, boat captains and parents for stepping up to the challenge,” Goolsby added.

Goolsby said Banta recently started fishing.

Sean Currie held down the fort for Jagr Royse and himself. Currie reeled in four fish weighing 10.58 pounds. Royse and Currie are aiming for another trip to state, which takes place at Cedar Creek Lake near Athens on May 11-12, 2019.
