Harwood anglers finish third in first high school bass season
The Harwood Union High School varsity bass fishing team finished its first-ever season with a bang, finishing third at the state championships during the weekend.
The two team members selected to fish in the event, Luke Spaulding and Ethan Loomis, reeled in six fish weighing a total of 21.44 pounds from Lake Champlain. A total of 15 teams fished at the tournament, based in South Hero.
Randolph took the title with 23.5 pounds of bass; Fair Haven was second with 22.79 pounds. The team from Hartford caught the biggest fish, or “lunker,” of the day with a 5.3-pound specimen. Harwood’s lunker, a largemouth bass, weighed in at 3.75 pounds….Full Story
