High school bass teams compete at Fort Loudon and Tellico lakes

Fishing teams battle in tournaments

Numerous high school fishing teams, including Lenoir City and Loudon high schools, descended on Loudon County over the weekend to compete in tournaments on Fort Loudoun and Tellico lakes.

The Lenoir City High School Bass Club had a solid outing both days with senior Daniel Ridenour placing seventh overall Saturday.

The club returned Sunday to compete in the Tennessee Bass Nation High School Southeast Region tournament and had six teams place in the top 30.

Our kids, I’m proud of them. Daniel Ridenour was our highest-place finisher on Saturday with 9.17 pounds.”…Full Story
