High school tournaments keep getting rescheduled

On a cool Friday afternoon on the Sabine River in Orange, the Little Cypress-Mauriceville High School fishing team casted their lines out to continue practicing for what remains of Southeast Texas High School Fishing Association tournaments.

The first tournament, which was originally scheduled for Jan. 9, on Lake Sam Rayburn, was rescheduled for April 14. Now the second tournament of the season, which was set for Feb. 9, was outright canceled due to the lack of usable boat ramps.

“The only thing that I find difficult is that they’re disappointed because these are the five tournaments that they look forward to,” LC-M fishing adviser Nellie Miller said….Full Story
