Teen Angler Banquet Photos – July 2016 Bassmaster Elite Series pro Jason Christie was one of the surprise guest speakers at the Teen Anglers Appreciation Banquet. Bassmaster Classic Champion Edwin Evers (accompanied by his son Kade) talks about his early days of fishing during the Teen Anglers Appreciation Banquet. Charlie Cornwall of the Springfield Contractors Association Next Generation of Leaders presented $250 scholarships to Calvin Tinsley and Lake Marchant during the Teen Anglers Appreciation Banquet. Tanner Lambeth, Jacob Crosswhite and Jack McCurdy received $250 scholarships from Academy Sports+ Outdoors representatives. Teen Anglers competitors Alissa Irvine and Josh Ruggles received $500 scholarships from Betty and Gary Doke of Lucas Oil. Rick Emmitt of Bass Pro Shops and Bassmaster Classic champion Edwin Evers presented scholarships to Ryan Persson ($500 for Bass Pro Shops Big Bass), Dalton Combs ($1,000 for Team of the Year) and Jessica Hicks ($500 for Bass Pro Shops Big Bass). Bolivar’s Dalton Carr and Trace Bradley won $700 scholarships for their sixth-place finish in the TAC. Cassville’s Riley Fletcher and his partner Gavin White earned $600 scholarships for finishing seventh in the TAC. Tristan Dennis and Paul Jones of Mount Vernon placed eighth in the TAC and earned $550 scholarships. Strafford’s Casey Schrag and Drew Hall received $500 scholarships for finishing ninth in the TAC. Austin Sisco and Cameron Fetterhoff of Fair Grove both received $500 scholarships for their 10th place finish in the 2016 Teen Anglers Championship (TAC). Receiving special recognition honors for their efforts in starting high school bass fishing in Missouri were John Neporadny, Jim Huson and Scott Berry. Presenting the $1,250 scholarships to TAC winners Colton Essick and Brittan Dover (not present) of Reeds Spring were Randy Terrell of Anglers in Action, Bassmaster Elite Series pro Jason Christie, Bassmaster Classic champ Edwin Evers and Al McCullough of Hillcrest’s Garrett Moeller and his partner Colten Stoker finished second in the TAC and earned $1,150 scholarships. Ozark’s Austin Ely and Kris Wagner received $1,100 scholarships for taking third at the TAC. Ryan Coffman and Noah Reese of Marshfield took fourth place in the TAC and won $850 scholarships. Reeds Spring’s Bowen Gade and his partner Wyatt Akromis earned $800 scholarships for placing fifth in the TAC. Sponsors and scholarship winners were honored during the Teen Anglers Appreciation Banquet. Thirty scholarships worth more than $22,000 were handed out to the young anglers who competed on the Teen Anglers trail this year. Dalton Carr won the drawing for the stereo system donated by Teen Anglers sponsor Car-Fi.
