UCHS Bass Anglers do well in 4th tournament

UNION COUNTY — The Union County High School Bass Anglers performed well in their 4th fishing tournament with some new names finishing on top.

In a statement released Monday, Coach Billy Scott reported that the team took part in their 4th fishing tournament at Lake Murray this past Saturday. Scott said that a total of 25 anglers took to the water in search of a winning bag of large mouth bass.

Scott said that Hall is “now on the board with his win, and with this kind of weight he’s moving up fast. Justin also had big fish for the high school team with one that weighed 3 pounds 6 ounces.”

Scott said that Hunter Enlow, also a sophomore, was second with four fish, but not enough weight to “knock Hall off the top with his three fish.” He said that Enlow was “short by only a few ounces to get second with 8 pounds 1 ounce.”

The press release states that Hunter Richardson placed 3rd with 3 pounds 8 ounces. Scott said that Dray Davis and Cory Scott rounded out the Top 5 in the High School Class. He said that 6th place went to Mathew Floyd and Creed Fowler with a tie in weight. In 7th place was Wyatt Fowler while Reed Franklin and Jay Vaughan were in 8th place and Garrett Durham was in 9th place….Read More
